4th of July Fun

The girls were really looking forward to the parade this year. The weather was a little bit rainy but most of the rain came right before it started. It actually was nice to not have the sun beating down on us. Isabelle believes that every parade has a princess in it because of the 4th of July parade in Anderson. She looks for them until the end and just like last year, she smiled big for the camera.







It was nice to have my parents with us to watch the parade again. I think they had forgotten that it's tradition. It was strange to think that the last one they were at was when I went into labor with Isabelle. They left on their mission the following year but just missed the 4th of July festivities.



We did some fireworks at my parents house after a day of swimming and a BBQ. This was Katelyn's reaction the entire time as I could feel her heart pounding out of her chest. I think she relates fireworks to the last time she saw them and wasn't responding very well. Aunt Sarah was nice enough to take her inside to watch from the window.
